5 Antique Soup Bowls English William Brownfield (and son(s))
Coloured enhanced Transfer printed Cream Soup Bowls
made by WILLIAM BROWNFIELD (& SON(S)) manufacturers of earthenware and porcelain at Cobridge, England
c. 1850-1891 they were Formerly known as Wood and Brownfield (c.1838-1850)
These are 10.5 inches in diameter and are in surprisingly good condition for a set of five which are 170 years old; one has a hairline crack, one has a very old chip. That's it.
The pattern is Bouquet and is transfer printed and then colour enhanced colours are good and bright.
The all have an impressed antique lozenge mark impressed to the base which date them to 10th February 1851.
