This style of pottery/earthenware was very popular in the 60-70's era. A very free following design, depicting people. Combining the art of molding and carving to create the design, then applying a very interesting glaze. The figure appears to be a Maiden from Africa.
She stands just over 11 inches tall
She is stood on a brass or bronze square pole on a marble base
Lovely condition the closest thing to imperfection is that you cannot read the artists signature which is a shame; you can see the date '61.
Very unusual.
