Doulton Motto Ware Jug, Faux Rhino Skin with solid silver rim dated 1890

Doulton Motto Jug with silver rim which is fully hallmarked London 1890
The motto reads;
VESSELS LARGE
MAY VENTURE MORE
BUT LITTLE BOATS
SHOULD KEEP NEAR SHORE
Made by Doulton in 1890, Doulton only became Royal Doulton in 1903 when King Edward vii granted the company The Royal Warrant.
These were made with a leather look finish complete with stitching, intended to look like Rhino hide.
It is 8 inches tall and is in great condition with only one chip to the base, see photo. No cracks.
