Original Oil on Canvas "Pheasants in Woodland" indistinctly signed

Original Oil on Canvas painting featuring pheasants in a woodland scene
It is signed, but I cannot identify the artist
This is very well painted and I am sure that if I could identify the artist the value would be much higher.
Frame is 42 inches by 22 inches; painting is 40 inches by 20 inches. Frame looks to be from the 1960's or thereabouts it has a few little marks.
